ASHAM Confirmed as Sponsor for 2017/18
The Royal Caledonian Curling Club is delighted to announce a renewed sponsorship agreement for season 2017-18 with headline sponsor Asham Curling Supplies. This long standing agreement has grown since 2011 since they first came on board, which sees the curling brand become one of the major supporters of competitive junior curling in Scotland.
Since its inception in 2011 the Asham Under 14, Under 17 and Under 21 Slams has played an important role in fostering Scotland’s curling talent, developing skills and performance at the highest level and providing a platform for success in what is, for many, their first competitive curling environment.
Junior curlers have a proven track record in making the successful transition to mainstream national and international championships. Past Slam Competitors include individuals from Team Smith and Team Muirhead who are great examples as they will now all be participating in the Winter Olympics Games for Team GB.

Team Kinnear, Callum Kinnear, Ryan McCormack, Duncan McFadzean and Matthew McKenzie were representing RCCC as this year’s winners. The photo (left) was taken while at camp also shows RCCC Coaches David Jones, Alison Cunningham and Dumfries Young Curler Max Moodie. There has also been an additional prize being added into the Under 17 Slam this season, permitting a winner from each category to take home a prize (male/female/mixed).
