Cooling out at the Royal Club Summer Camp!

30 junior curlers are cooling out on ice during the current heat wave and improving their curling skills at the Royal Club’s summer camp.

Galleon Centre is once again the venue for ice sessions led by the Royal Club’s Development Officers. Juniors have an intensive 3 hours on-ice each morning and rotate around different stations to cover a variety of aspects of the game.

Royal Club President Pat Edington joined the campers on Monday afternoon for some canoeing followed by a trip to Kays of Scotland to hear and see how curling stones are made.

As the week progresses, friendships and potential teams for the future are being formed, and fun is most certainly being had.
