Curling This Weekend 24th-27th October
The Cactus Pheasant Classic gets underway on Thursday 24th October in Brooks, Alberta, Canada where Team Awaken Consulting (David Murdoch, Tom Brewster, Greg Drummond, Michael Goodfellow, and Scott Andrews) will be competing. There will be 24 teams taking part in the competition which is held in a triple knockout format. Finals will be taking place on Sunday 27th October.

The next event in the Curling Champions Tour calendar gets underway this Thursday, 24 October, with the Curling Masters Champery. Three Scottish teams are taking part in the competition; Team Smith (Kyle Smith, Thomas Muirhead, Kyle Waddell, Cameron Smith), Team Gray (Logan Gray, Glen Muirhead, Ross Paterson, Richard Woods) and Team Hardie (Grant Hardie, Jay McWilliam, Hammy MacMillan Jr., Billy Morton). There are 24 teams competing over four groups in a round robin format. The final will be held on Sunday 27th October.

The second Grand Slam event of the season on the Women’s World Curling Tour is being held in Winnipeg this weekend, 25th to 28th October, with the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Women’s Curling Classic. 32 teams are taking part in the competition which takes a triple knock-out format. Team Muirhead will be hoping they can repeat their recent success at the Curler’s Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic.
