Curling This Weekend 8th-10th November

The second installment of the Asham Under 21 Slam continues at Inverness this weekend with Inverness Junior International.
The competition which will run from the 8th to the 10th November will have separate male and female events. There will be 12 male teams and 8 female teams taking part in the competition, and points will be awarded to the top eight male teams and top four female teams.
The first Under 21 Slam of the season at Kinross was won by Team Aitken and Team Mouat who are again taking part in this competition, and will be hoping to continue their winning streak in order to keep in the running for the overall Slam title and £1000 prize for the overall male and female teams.
Future events in the Asham Under 21 Slam are at Lockerbie on 20-22nd December and Greenacres on 10-12th January

download The Edinburgh International Curling Championship takes place at Murrayfield Curling Rink from 8 -10 November.
This year promises to be a good competition with a strong field including Team Awaken Consulting, returning to defend their title, and other Scottish teams including last year’s runners-up in the Scottish Championship, Team Gray. Scottish and reigning World Junior Curling Champions Team Kyle Smith find themselves playing in the same competition as Kyle and brother Cammy’s father, the ten-time Scottish Champion, David Smith, playing again this year with Warwick Smith.  Grant Hardie brings a strong-looking team from the south-west of Scotland and Edinburgh is represented by John Hamilton. There are also overseas teams from all over Europe, including last year’s runners-up, Team Germany, skipped by John Jahr.
