Curling This Weekend: From 18th September
The European Mixed Curling Championship 2014 is still in full swing in Tårnby, Denmark. The competition is due to continue until Saturday 20th September, with the final scheduled for 14:00 (BST).

The Shorty Jenkins Classic 2014 begins Thursday 18th September at Brockville Curling Club, Ontario, Canada.
Team Murdoch (David Murdoch, Greg Drummond, Scott Andrews, Michael Goodfellow) and Team Muirhead (Eve Muirhead, Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams and Sarah Reid) will both be competing at the event which is set to go on until Sunday 21st September. In all there will be 24 men’s and 12 women’s teams will be taking part in the competition.

The first leg of the European Junior Curling Tour, a part of the Curling Champions Tour, gets underway this weekend with the Braehead Junior International. The competition which runs from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September will have 10 junior men’s and 6 junior women’s teams taking part in the competition. As well as 9 junior curling teams from Scotland, Braehead will also play host to 5 junior teams from Switzerland and 2 from Sweden.
Among the Scottish junior teams are Royal Club Academy teams Brydone and Bryce for the boys and K. Aitken and Murray for the girls. Performance Foundation teams and last year’s winners of the competition team Mouat and G. Aitken (with the exception of Rachael Hannen for Katie Richardson) will again be competing at the event this year.
