Curling This Weekend: From 21st November
The Edinburgh International Seniors event gets underway on Friday 21st November. As in previous years the men’s and women’s competitions are to be run separately, with 12 women’s and 16 men’s teams taking part in each event. Participating in the competition again this year are current Scottish Curling Senior Women’s Champions and World Senior Women’s Curling Champions, Team Cannon and current Scottish Curling Men’s Champions and former World Senior Men’s Curling Championship winners, Team Prentice.

The Star Refrigeration National Wheelchair Curling Pairs Championship will be held at Braehead Curling from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 23rd November. There will be 16 teams taking part in the competition which will be played in a round robin format. Winners of the 2012 and 2013 Star Refrigeration National Wheelchair Curling Pairs, Ian Donaldson and Mo Simpson could complete a hat trick this year if they retain the title once again. The competition which is organised each year by the Scottish Wheelchair Curling Association (SWCA), will see 40 matches carried out over the two days, beginning at 9:30am on the Saturday morning and ending at 1:15pm on Sunday before the prize giving ceremony commences.
