Curling this weekend: What’s On 25-28 Oct

Three of Scotland’s Performance Squad teams are competing at the Curling Masters Champery, Switzerland, this weekend which is the latest stop on the Curling Champions Tour. Logan Gray, Glen Muirhead and Kyle Smith will be skipping their teams in a 24-rink field which includes three of the top four ranked teams on the CCT money list, Michel (SUI), Eriksson (SWE) and DeCruz (SUI).

The Curling Masters Champery runs from 26–28 October and will be broadcasting the event on Saturday and Sunday with two of Scotland’s teams featuring on the Saturday:

Tom Brewster’s team are in Alberta, Canada for the Cactus Pheasant Classic at Brooks Curling Club which starts today Thursday 25th October. 24 teams will be competing in this triple knockout event which features 19 of the top 30 men’s rinks on the current World Curling Tour standings.

This includes Canadian Glenn Howard who skipped his team to Gold in a highly competitive final against Brewster at this year’s World Championship in Basel winning 8-7 after an extra end (pictured L-R Glenn Howard, Tom Brewster ©WCF/Richard Gray 2012).

The Cactus Pheasant Classic runs until Sunday 28th October.
