Lockerbie Claim Scottish Pairs Title

The Scottish Pairs Championship was held at Stranraer Ice Rink this weekend, from 18th – 20th March. There were 24 duos taking part in the Championship, who each earned the right to compete from qualifying events held at their local ice rinks.

The teams were split into four sections, with the top two teams from each section progressing to the quarter finals on Sunday morning. By 3pm on Sunday the final two teams left to battle it out in the final were Lockerbie and Murrayfield 1. The Lockerbie team of Scott Hamilton and Robert Hamilton (pictured with Billy Howat) came out on top to claim the Scottish Pairs title, with a final score of 5-2.
