Muirhead and Murdoch in Manitoba for GSOC
The Masters of Curling, a part of the Grand Slam of Curling, begins tomorrow, Tuesday 28th October in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada. Scottish teams Muirhead and Murdoch will both be taking place in the competition which will feature some of the biggest names in curling, including Olympic gold medallists Team Jones and Team Jacobs of Canada, Silver medallists Team Sigfridsson and Bronze medallist skip Nicklas Edin and his team from Sweden and World Men’s Curling Champion Team Ulserud of Norway and World Women’s Curling Champions Team Feltscher of Switzerland. The Masters features 15 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams. The 15 teams will be split into three groups of five teams with the competition being played in a round-robin format. The top eight teams qualify for the playoff round to determine each champion. Games will begin 19:00 (CDT) with the Women’s Final scheduled for 10:00 (CDT) and Men’s Final 14:00 (CDT) on Sunday 2nd November.
