RCCC Summer Camp Begins
The Royal Caledonian Curling Club summer camp is underway at Stirling. 42 juniors aged 13-17 arrived yesterday at their accommodation at the University of Stirling and were quickly thrown into some team building orienteering on trails at the Wallace Monument.
Today is an intensive day on ice at the Peak with deliveries bring filmed initially and work on curling basics. Nutrition and physio sessions will be held this afternoon and in the evening there will be an athlete presentation led by Michael Goodfellow and Jennifer Dodds.
The rest of the week will be packed with activity including an evening’s curling challenge with 12 athletes from the Performance Programme tomorrow.
