Team Gray win Mercure Perth Masters

Scotland’s Logan Gray beat Sweden’s Oskar Eriksson by 5-4 after an extra end to win the 2014 Mercure Perth Masters at Dewars Centre, Perth on Sunday 5th January.
32 teams took part in the competition, 12 Scottish rinks and 20 foreign rinks including six teams bound for Sochi 2014.
It was a very tightly contested final with never more than a shot in it. Team Eriksson took a lead of 4-3 in the seventh, but Gray was unable to find the two shots needed to seal the victory and only managed to secure a one to put the game into an extra end, with Eriksson having the last stone advantage.
However Team Gray managed to seal their victory in the extra end, securing a one, when Eriksson was heavy with his final draw shot.
