Coaching & Development Conference 2018
Registration is now open for the 2018 Coaching & Development Conference
Scottish Curling is hosting its annual conference on Saturday 15th September 2018 at Lanarkshire Ice Rink, Hamilton.
We are delighted to be joined by Tony Zummack who will be returning, further to participant feedback, to share the latest concepts on the delivery model and sweeping (advanced).
The event aims to inform, empower and inspire delegates to create positive change for anyone receiving coaching and anyone providing coaching and involved in development. There will be time for networking throughout the day giving attendees the opportunity to share new ideas and plan for the forthcoming season
It will be a packed day with other topics including membership recruitment & retention, how to attract a more diverse workforce and our new British Sign Language resources for Deaf Curling; a project that has been led by Scottish Curling in conjunction with Heriot Watt University.
In 2018, the Year of Young People, we are excited to be launching the Scottish Curling Future Leaders Programme. The conference will welcome external speakers from similar programmes and we will be sharing the vision for Scottish Curling Future Leaders and what will be involved.
The conference is open to all members but particularly aimed at new and existing coaches, club committee representatives and those wishing to take that first step to help support, develop and grow the sport in Scotland.
We were delighted to have full attendance at last year’s Conference and with spaces limited, we urge you to book your place using the online form below:
