ACADEMY TO HOST NEW JUNIOR MIXED DOUBLES EVENT
The Scottish Curling Academy (SCA) in partnership with Matt Murdoch Curling Foundation (MMCF) are pleased to announce a new Junior Mixed Doubles event which will run this November. It comes with an opportunity to compete for a funded trip to Sweden.
All Scottish Curling junior members are eligible to sign up. The addition of this new event to the competition calendar offers junior curlers the opportunity to gain experience prior to the Scottish Curling Junior Mixed Doubles Championship which are being held from 5 to 7 April 2024.
- 24 – 26 November 2023
- Dumfries Ice Bowl
- 24 Teams
- Team entry fee of £100
- This event will be played in a round robin format

The two teams who make the final of this event will be given the opportunity to attend the Nordic Junior Mixed Doubles event in Sundbyberg, Sweden which will run from 10 to 14 April 2024.
SCA and MMCF will fully fund and be responsible for the following components of the trip:
- Return Flights (including luggage and brush bag)
- Competition Entry Fee
- Internal Transfers
- Travel Insurance
Successful teams will be responsible for funding and booking of:
- Accommodation (best accommodation will be advised by SCA Manger at earliest convenience)
- Subsistence
- Spending Money
