This Inter-Province Cup is played for annually by the Provinces in Scotland in the various ice rinks (The Royal Caledonian Curling Club comprises 10 Areas, each of which are sub-divided into a number of Provinces). The Province which gains the highest average majority of shots per team over its opponents is declared the winner of the Challenge Cup, which they hold for one year.
