CHARLENE GRAHAM APPOINTED AS NEW DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR SOUTH WEST SCOTLAND

Scottish Curling are delighted to announce that Charlene Graham has been appointed as Development Manager for the South West of Scotland. Charlene joined us in August last year as Competitions Officer and we look forward to seeing her take on a new role. She will assume the position on 31 August.

‘I am really excited that a year after starting with Scottish Curling I am moving into a new role as Development Manager for the South West,’ Charlene said. ‘I have already worked with rinks in this area in a competitions context, so it will be great to grow these relationships and to collaborate to develop the sport.

‘Over the past year I have engaged with many staff, coaches, and volunteers across this region and it has been a real pleasure to see the many different ways people work together to promote curling. There is a huge amount of great development efforts being made in the South West and I am keen to become a part of it.’

Charlene will continue to oversee and take a national lead on competitions management going forward.

Eilidh McCall-Lawrie, Head of Development, added: ‘During Charlene’s time with Scottish Curling she has built up positive relationships with ice rinks and members alike. From her previous roles she brings a great deal of experience in partnership working, event organisation, and working directly with volunteers. We wish every success to Charlene in her new post.’
