FUTURE LEADERS 2022-23 – APPLICATIONS INVITED
Applications for the Scottish Curling Future Leaders 2022-23 edition are open now until 19 August. Interviews will take place in August with the successful candidates commencing the programme in September 2022 for a two year period.
Are you aged 15 to 24 and keen to play a part in shaping the future of Scottish Curling? Future Leaders is the perfect opportunity for you! The programme is designed to equip participants with professional and leadership skills that will help them develop career opportunities. Meanwhile, it also offers a chance to make an impact in the Scottish Curling community. Our most recent Future Leaders shared some of their thoughts in the video below.
Future Leaders takes a personalised learning approach; working with an assigned mentor, each participant will undertake a self-assessment exercise and develop an individual Personal Development Plan designed to build on strengths and identify areas to develop. Additionally, workshops are an integral part of the programme and designed to meet the needs of the learners; they will be challenging, constructive and highly interactive. Moreover, the Future Leaders as a collective group will manage their own project within National Curling Day.
An ideal candidate will be passionate about and engaged in the sport. They will be a member of a curling club and driven to be strongly involved within the Scottish Curling community. Further, they will be willing and able to commit up to one hour per week.
For further information take a look at the detailed info sheet and any questions can be directed to Scottish Curling Academy Manager, Sophie Jackson (sophie@scottishcurling.org).
