INTRODUCING OUR NEW CHAIR: FRASER MONTGOMERY

We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Fraser Montgomery as the new Chair of the Scottish Curling board.

After a thorough recruitment process held through March and April, the Nominations Committee of the Scottish Curling board in partnership with sportscotland are pleased to confirm Fraser’s appointment today. Outgoing Chair Graham Lindsay was part of the Nominations Committee and had this to say about the process and the appointment of Fraser:

‘We were delighted with the calibre of candidates and applications we received and are of course pleased to have the expertise Fraser brings as well as the continuity of him having been a Director of Scottish Curling for approximately 18 months already. Fraser’s significant experience as a Chief Financial Officer allied to his work in supporting the modernisation of Scottish Curling means we are in good shape from a Board Leadership position and I look forward to working with Fraser over the next few weeks before he officially takes on the role at the Scottish Curling AGM on 1 July.’

RCCC President Mike Ferguson was also delighted with the appointment: ‘As my own term as president comes to a close over the next few months, it is excellent to see Fraser taking on the role as Chair of the Scottish Curling Board. We had excellent candidates throughout the process and I am looking forward to continuing to work alongside Fraser for the benefit of the sport of curling and of course for all our curlers out there.’
