Membership Development Committee Seeks New Members

Scottish Curling is excited to announce the completion of the first year of our 4 year strategy, “Sweeping Change: The Future of Curling.” Now, you have the opportunity to help shape the future of our sport. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our membership development committee. The committee holds approximately 6 -8 meetings a year (currently online) and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals from our membership to join us. We are open to applications from all but would particularly encourage applications from juniors, students, members with a disability/impairment, and gateway club members.
The purpose of the committee is:
- Influence future local and national curling development programmes that bring new players into the sport
- Create ideas for development, designed to attract new members to the sport and retain and increase engagement and participation amongst existing members
- Develop links with partner organisations that work with specific demographic groups
- To enhance the curling experience for all members
The remit of the committee is:
- The member development committee will work at a strategic level to develop initiatives for widening opportunities for participation
- The committee will link to the Scottish Curling operational plan, and support the creation of new and innovative strategic development.
Role details:
- This is a voluntary role
- Must be a member of Scottish Curling
- Approximate time commitment:
- Time on committee is 3 years
- 6-8 x 90 minutes annually plus optional task related activities
