Nominations Open for RCCC Vice President
Scottish Curling is seeking nominations from its membership for the elected position of Vice President.
The position provides the successful nominee with the opportunity to support the President, gain insight into governance and strategic decision-making, and contribute to the development and promotion of curling across Scotland.
The Vice President attends Board meetings as an observer, participating in discussions and works closely with the President in ambassadorial and representative duties. There is no requirement for the Vice President or subsequent President to make personal financial contributions or to undertake international travel as part of the role unless agreed with the Board.
Key Responsibilities
The Vice President will:
- Deputise for the President when required
- Support the President in representational and ambassadorial duties across Scotland
- Attend Board meetings as an observer and contribute constructively to discussions
- Attend relevant events and engagements on behalf of Scottish Curling
- Develop knowledge and understanding of Scottish Curling’s governance and strategic operations
- Promote the values, vision, and strategic objectives of Scottish Curling
- Maintain a valid PVG Scheme membership through Scottish Curling
- Complete and maintain required safeguarding training
- Demonstrate IT literacy, including the use of digital communication tools, board portals, and standard office software to support governance responsibilities

Candidates should also familiarise themselves with the Memorandum and Articles of Association and Bye Laws [click here], which set out the governance framework of Scottish Curling.

To stand for election please complete the nomination form by no later than 11:59 PM on Friday 6 March 2026.
Valid nominations will be presented to the membership for voting at least 21 days prior to the RCCC Annual General Meeting, which is currently scheduled to take place on 27 June 2026. The results will be announced during the AGM.
