SAFER INTERNET DAY: 7 FEBRUARY 2023

Ahead of Safer Internet Day 2023 on Tuesday 7 February Scottish Curling are raising awareness and sharing advice on how to stay safe online. We have pulled together some of the best resources and websites to help members have the best possible experience on the internet.

ADVICE AND RESOURCES FOR ADULTS

The National Cyber Security Centre have a number of different suggestions and advice for staying safe online. See their Top Tips for Staying Secure Online here.

The Scottish Government also have advice and information on a number of topics including fraud, bulling, and online scams, available here.

ADVICE AND RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

The Safer Internet Day website has a number of resources and information for both parents and young people on staying safe online, available here.

The NSPCC have detailed advice for parents and carers about talking to your child about online safety here, including how to start the chat with your child, what you can do as a family to stay safe, as well as how to tackle the difficult conversations.

ChildLine offer lots of information for children and young people in a form that is appropriate for them.
