STRANRAER YC 1 WIN SKILL AWARD CHALLENGE ON HOME SOIL

Congratulations to team Stranraer YC 1 who triumphed at the Skill Award Challenge, staged at their home rink. Hamilton YC finished runners-up while Stranraer YC 2 completed the podium.

Stranraer YC 1 won four of their five games, three of them to nil. Only Hamilton YC managed to push the local side with their encounter ending in a 4-4 draw. They dominated throughout on PO 9, E 17, S/U 17, T/S 40. Hamilton YC themselves collected, besides the draw, three wins and one defeat, the loss coming to the other home team Stranraer YC 2.

It was a successful day for the hosting rink as both their teams finished on the podium. Stranraer YC 2 sat on a 3W, 1D, 1L record, just like their Hamilton opponents. However, they missed out on E 13 to 11, S/U 17 to 0, and T/S 28 to 16. Dumfries Curling 2 came in in fourth place ahead of Ayr Juniors. Dumfries Curling 1 rounded out the results.
