TEAM MCKENZIE WIN OPENING ASHAM U14 SLAM AT DUMFRIES CURLING

Many congratulations to Team McKenzie (Islay McKenzie, Stewart Hamilton, Hannah Lindsay, Isla Clemie) (Dewars, Perth) who won the opening Asham Under 14 Slam of the season held at Dumfries Curling.

The Perth side went through their section games unbeaten, collecting two wins and one draw to roar into the play-offs. Likewise, Team Seftor (Amy Seftor, Clare Cassells, Kirrin Burgess, Isla Kay) (Edinburgh) dominated Section D while Team Tiler (Eilish Anderson, Rowan Terrace, Libby Huntly, Erin Brown) (Dumfries) were unbeaten in B with Team Dumfries Young Curlers 3 (Toby Hall, Callum McRobert, Lewis Whannel, Rhys Burnett) topping C with two wins and a draw.

Having won their respective semi-finals, Teams McKenzie and Seftor faced off in the final. After four ends of play, Team McKenzie came out as the first Asham U14 Slam winners of Season 2023-24.

Meanwhile in the play-off for third, Team Tiler got the better of Teaam DYC 3.
