Waldie-Griffith Inter Province Cup Entry Form

Outline
The Waldie-Griffith Inter Province Cup is competed for by Provinces in Scotland in various ice rinks.  Teams are to be selected by each Province to play a four game match against another Province.  The responsibility for the choice of venue for the above matches rest primarily with the Home Province following consultation and agreement with their opponents.  Games can be played throughout the season and do not require to be played all on the same day.
Eligibility
– All teams members must be members of Scottish Curling.
Venue & Date
The first named province shall organise the match at their local ice rink.
Date & Venue –  to be confirmed by the first named province.
All scorecards should be sent to competitions@scottishcurling.org on completion.

Rules
Competitors will at all times abide by the current Rules of the Game.
The Rules governing the play and all arrangements for the competition shall be in the hands of the Competitions Committee of Scottish Curling.  A toss will be place in each game to determine who has last stone advantage at the first end.
The games shall be played under the Rules of the Game, and the Province which gains the highest average majority of shots per team over its opponents will be declared the winner of the Challenge Club, which it will hold for one year.
There shall be no maximum limit, but the entries must be in groups of four teams.  If a Province does not field at least three teams then they cannot win the Waldie-Griffith Cup.  Please note that these games can be spread through out the season, all games shall be 8 ends or the bell.
A Province which fails to play the number of teams entered, or where an entry is withdrawn from the competition, shall have its average reckoned by the number of teams originally entered.
A Province which, through the fault of an opponent, has to play with less than its full number of teams shall have its average reckoned by the number of teams played by that Province.
For each game not played the non-offending Province will receive 3 shots and the offending Province will get 3 shots deducted from its total.
If a team turns up with one three players, the game will start on time.
R11 (i): Failure to Appear applies if the player arrives within 15 minutes.
If not then the non-offending team shall be awarded 3 shots and 1 end and no more than even ends will be played.
(f) in Inter Province matches a Club may play only for the Province within whose area it is situated.
All interpretations of, or disputes arising under, these Rules shall be referred to the Competitions committee of Scottish Curling, whose decision shall be final.
WCF sweeping device regulations will not be enforced for this competition.

Code of Conduct
This event is covered by the Scottish Curling Codes of Conduct for players and their associates (coaches, parents, supporters) as well as the rules of the game and of the competition.  By entering a team and completing this online form the team and all their associates agree to abide and be bound by them.  The Code of Conduct can be found in the Rules of the Game.  Any breaches of the Code of Conduct may be dealt with under the Scottish Curling disciplinary procedures and guidelines.

UK Anti-Doping
All entrants shall be deemed to have made themselves familiar with and agreed to be bound by the Anti-Doping Rules of Scottish Curling and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.
The Anti-Doping Rules of Scottish Curling apply to entrants participating in the sport of Curling, for 12 months from the date of entry, whether or not the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
