WILLIE JAMIESON JUNIOR CURLERS FUND TO SUPPORT ASHAM U17 COMPETITORS
Scottish Curling are delighted to welcome the Willie Jamieson Junior Curlers Fund (WJJCF) who will support youngsters competing in the Asham Under 17 Slam series.
The WJJCF committee have committed to spending £4000 towards helping junior teams take part in Asham U17 Slam competitions this season. The programme will see the Fund subsidise an eligible* team’s entry fee by £40 per team, per slam. Teams will not need to apply for this; if they are eligible, they will receive an automatic subsidy to their entry.
Further, all junior clubs affiliated to Scottish Curling are eligible to apply for additional development funding and should initially contact David Ramsay on david.ramsay12@btinternet.com or 07771614344 to discuss details. All applications will be assessed on an individual basis by the Fund committee.
WJJCF was founded this year in memory of Willie Jamieson. Willie was passionate about participation in the sport he loved, and the Fund was set up with the aim of offering help to unfunded junior members of Scottish Curling.
If you would like to contribute to the Fund, please contact Ken Horton on kenhorton333@gmail.com for donation forms and detailed information.

*An eligible team is any team whose players are 21 and younger, Scottish Curling members, and are not funded by either the Scottish Curling Academy or the British Curling Performance programme.
