Asham Under 14 Slam Series Entry Form

Outline
The Asham Under 14 Slam series will be played over four events in the 2024/2025 season at:  Dumfries, Forfar, Curl Aberdeen & Kinross.
Each game in the Under 14 slam series will be 4 ends.
Points are awarded after each slam with the top male and female teams with the most points winning the overall slam series prize at the end of the season.
Any team can enter and gather points at each event, with their best three results contributing to their final leaderboard ranking.
Eligibility
– Teams can be male, female or mixed.
– All team members must be less than 14 years of age by the end of the 30th day of June of the year in which the first Under 14 slam event is to take place.
– All team members must be members of Scottish Curling, with the exception of international entries.
Competitions
Venue and Dates:
Slam 1: Dumfries Ice Bowl – 9th November 2024 (max limit 16 teams)
Slam 2: Forfar Indoor Sports – 7th December 2024 DATE CHANGE – now 1st February 2025 (max limit 16 teams)
Slam 3: Curl Aberdeen – 11th January 2025  (max limit 16 teams)
Slam 4: Kinross – 8th March 2025  (max limit 16 teams)Slams will close earlier than dates noted if maximum numbers have been received.  If you wish to be placed ont

o the reserve list for any competition already closed please email – competitions@scottishcurling.org with the slam that you are unable to enter on the entry form below.

Entry Fee
  • £50 per team, per competition

Places are restricted for each event and will be confirmed by Scottish Curling after the closing date for entries.

NOTE: You will be required to pay £50 per team per slam upon submission of the entry. 
Please ensure you have a valid payment card ready.  All cards are accepted with the exception of American Express and Diners Club.

Slam 1 Dumfries –  2nd September 2024
Slam 2 Forfar –  27th September 2024  Due to date change closing date now 22nd November 2024
Slam 3 Curl Aberdeen –  1st November 2024
Slam 4 Kinross –  18th December 2024Scottish Curling reserves the right to extend the entry period should spaces be available.  There is no restriction to the number of competitions you can enter.
Competition Rules

Competitors will at all times abide by the current Rules of the Game.

All Asham rules can be found on each slam competition page.  Including brush / pad rules.

The Leaderboard will be updated after each event.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to:

High Road Winners and Runners up (Asham provided)
Low Road Winners and Runners up (Host venue provided)

Overall Season Prizes:
Points will be earned from the team’s best three competitions. Where two or more teams are tied at the end of the season the below rules will apply to determine a ranking:

  • Highest number of competition wins
  • Number of second place finishes
  • Number of third place finishes
Code of Conduct
This event is covered by the Scottish Curling Codes of Conduct for players and their associates (coaches, parents and supporters) as well as the rules of the game and of the competition.  By entering a team and completing this online form the team and all their associates agree to abide and be bound by them.  The Code of Conduct can be found in Rules of the Game.  Any breaches of the Code of Conduct may be dealt with under the Scottish Curling disciplinary procedures and guidelines.

UK Anti-Doping
All entrants shall be deemed to have made themselves familiar with and agreed to be bound by the Anti-Doping Rules of Scottish Curling and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.
