Nominations Sought for the 2020 Scottish Curling Awards
Nominations are being sought for the 2020 Scottish Curling Awards in four categories:-
Young Curler of the Year
Grassroots Coach of the Year
Team of the Year
Ice Diamond Award
The Scottish Curling Awards are held annually to acknowledge and celebrate the success and achievements of Scottish curlers over the last year. The awards will be presented during the proceedings of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday 27 June 2020 at Forfar Indoor Sports.
Making a nomination
- Nominations must be made using the official online form
- Nomination forms must be fully completed
- Only members of Scottish Curling are eligible to make a nomination
- Only members of Scottish Curling can be nominated for an award
- Members cannot nominate themselves for an award
- Nominations must be received by 10am on Wednesday 29 April 2020

Young Curler of the Year
We are looking for an individual who has performed to a high level throughout the 2019-2020 curling season both on and off the ice. This award is open to both males and females who were under the age of 21 on 30 June 2019. All nominations will be assessed and shortlisted to three finalists. This award will go to the Young Curler who attracts the most votes from the Scottish Curling membership.

Team of the Year
We are looking for a team who has performed to a high level throughout the 2019-2020 curling season at home and/or abroad. All nominations will be assessed and shortlisted to three finalists based on their curling performances and successes throughout the curling season. This award will go to the Team who attracts the most votes from the Scottish Curling membership.
Grassroots Coach of the Year
We are looking for a coach who has made a significant contribution to the sport of curling at local level throughout the 2019-2020 curling season. All nominations will be assessed and shortlisted to three finalists based on the level of contribution they have made. This award will go to the Grassroots Coach who attracts the most votes from the Scottish Curling membership.
Ice Diamond Award
We are looking for a volunteer or group of volunteers who have contributed to the development and/or promotion of the sport. All nominations will be assessed and shortlisted to three finalists. This award will go to the individual or group who attracts the most votes from the Scottish Curling membership.
