SIGHT SCOTLAND VETERANS AT CURLABILITY
We were delighted to welcome Sight Scotland Veterans at our recent Curlability event. Judith Crawford, Sporting and Partnerships Worker at the organisations gave great feedback on the session.
‘I was delighted to represent Sight Scotland Veterans at Curlability at Kinross Curling recently. It was my first experience of curling and it was great to see so many people with differing disabilities take to the ice, including one of our veterans who really enjoyed taking part.
‘The event was truly inclusive, and I am now working with curling clubs across Scotland to create similar opportunities for our members and the wider visually impaired and veteran communities.’
We look forward to working with Sight Scotland Veterans and other organisations in the future!
The week starting 27 November to 3 December marks Scottish Disability Sport Week, celebrating getting active and involved in disability sport in Scotland. The campaign aims to highlight and promote the opportunities and the impact physical activity can have on individuals, communities, clubs and society across the country. It will also provide a platform to showcase the intersectionality of participants within disability sport and share the message that everyone can participate in sport.
