Susan Kesley Appointed to WCF role

We are delighted to advise members that RCCC Vice President and Director Susan Kesley has been appointed by the World Curling Federation onto its Competition and Rules Commission.  The role of the commission is to ensure the rules and competitions of the WCF are fit for purpose. The Commission also considers proposals for changes submitted to it by Member Associations and the reports from Coach and Team Leader meetings held at each World Curling Championship which suggest changes to improve the game.

As many will know, Susan has been an active competitive curler for over 40 years.  She has played competitively in Women’s, Mixed Doubles, Mixed and Pairs. Her most recent success in Scotland was Senior Curling Champion in 2019 and 2018. She has represented Scotland as skip at the World Seniors Curling Championship 2019 (4th) and 2018 (5th)  and European Junior Championships in 1984 (3rd). Susan also coached junior teams from Edinburgh for a period of over ten years.

Susan is currently the convenor of the Scottish Curling Competitions Committee , having served in that committee since 2014.  She has played at international level from junior to senior, been a coach to winning and losing teams and is capable behind the scenes and in leadership roles.  Susan is the immediate Past President of Currie & Balerno Curling Club having served several years on the committee prior to holding office.
