Team Announcement – Scottish Men’s Tour to USA in 2027

Scottish Curling is proud to announce the twenty players selected to represent Scotland on the 2027 Men’s Tour to the United States of America, where they will compete for the prestigious Herries Maxwell Trophy.

The three-week tour, taking place across January and February 2027, continues the historic curling rivalry between Scotland and the USA. First contested in 1952, the Herries Maxwell Trophy represents decades of friendship, hospitality and shared passion for the Roaring Game across the Atlantic.

The most recent contest, hosted in Scotland in 2022, saw the United States claim the trophy. In 2027, Scotland will be determined to respond on American ice and bring the trophy home once again.

Team Captain

Keith Wilson (Markinch) has been selected as Tour Captain and will lead the side throughout the visit to the United States. He will guide the squad both on and off the ice, upholding the traditions of sportsmanship, camaraderie and international friendship that define this unique tour. He said of the upcoming Tour, “I’m really excited for the Tour. We have a fantastic group of Scottish curlers selected. There is hard work to be done before setting off for Minneapolis in January 2027, but opportunities to represent one’s country on tour are to be treasured. For sure the US will be challenging opponents but will, I am sure, also be great hosts. Personally I can’t wait.”
