What’s on This Weekend: 18-19 January

Asham Under 14 Slam, Stranraer Ice Rink, Saturday 18 January

The fourth round of the Asham Under 14 Slam series will take place in Stranraer this weekend, where 16 teams will compete in four sections for their final chance to add points to the leaderboard and stake their claim as the overall winners of the Under 14 series.

The previous slam in Perth on the Saturday 8 December saw strong performances across all sections and resulted in a High Road made up of Team Brewster (winners), Team FYC Mixed (runners up), Team Grant (third), and Team Warden (fourth), and a Low Road of Team Kyle (winners), Team Rankin (runners up), Team Haggart (third) and Team Rutherford (fourth). Many of these strong young teams are expected to make a strong reappearance this weekend in Stranraer, although with the introduction of a few different teams on the ice and some of the top teams out at other competitions, it could be everything to play for in Stranraer this weekend.

Currently topping the leaderboard are Team Grant on 50, closely followed by FYC Mixed on 49 and Team Brewster on 47.
