CURLING 360° – ASN Floor Curling Project

Following on from last year’s very successful Curling 360° – ASN project, a school project to get pupils with ASN from around Scotland involved in the sport of curling, in particular Floor Curling, we are delighted to announce that year 4 is here! Year 4 of the project is being funded by the Leslie Ingram Brown Legacy, administered by Scottish Curling Trust – a huge thank you to them for their support. Without funding, projects like these would be unable to run, and therefore, we are very grateful for their generosity.

ASN schools/schools with ASN departments or pupils with ASN are invited to apply o the project, where, if successful, they will receive a FREE use of a FloorCurl kit to borrow for the school year. Schools will take part in a FloorCurl workshop, as well as receiving coaching resources at the start of the project.

During the project, we will link your school to your local ice rink to arrange an on-ice session, or signpost to local clubs to allow pupils who would like to try curling on ice and continue curling to do so. Each school will be asked to report on participant numbers and feedback on the project delivery.

The project will run for the school year 2026 – 2027, with all FloorCurl kits being returned to Scottish Curling in May/June 2026 at an awards session, along with the required monitoring and evaluation forms (due 4 times during the project).

Mandatory Floor Curl Workshops (max 2 hours) and kit collection will run from mid August – end September (Successful applicants will be informed of the dates / times of the regional Floor Curl workshops early August)

The project will run for the school year 2026 – 2027, finishing in June 2027.
