TEAM RUTHERFORD ARE THE OVERALL ASHAM U14 SLAM CHAMPIONS 2022-23

Congratulations to Team Rutherford (Finlay Rutherford, Rory Stevenson, Finlay McGregor, Douglas Brown, Erin McCluskey, Charlie Watson) (Kinross) who have crowned themselves overall Asham Under 14 Slam champions for season 2022-23.

The Kinross side kicked off their slam season with a second place at Dumfries, narrowly missing out to Team Seftor (Amy Seftor, Clare Cassells, Rachel Eadie, Isla Kay) (Edinburgh/Kinross) in the final. However, Team Rutherford were unstoppable from there. They played some high-scoring games to walk out victors at the second leg in Aberdeen and doubled up at the next competition in Forfar. Going into the final event in Perth, Team Rutherford already led the overall Asham Under 14 Slam standings by a comfortable margin. Nevertheless, they went all in and claimed victory to secure the slam title for the season.
